WHAT THINGS DO I NEED TO CONSIDER FOR HOLIDAY LETTINGS?
Being holiday home owners ourselves, we carefully considered our positions, and discussed both the benefits and falls of being a holiday homeowner. We agreed that one of the common downfalls of managing a holiday home was arranging the cleaning, and then ensuring the cleaning was up to standard.
There are various factors to consider: making sure the turnaround was smooth, checking items remaining in the house, getting the laundry done on time, getting rid of the rubbish from previous guests, and seeing what is left over after the commission is taken.
Whilst this list is long, the list is actually the standard working of a holiday home, and these downfalls will be present with every check-in and check-out.
We can also arrange for the laundry to be done, the rubbish to be disposed of legally, and also ensure that your home is spotlessly clean. We understand the importance of cleanliness, and this starts with our cleaning team. Feedback is important, so we will contact the guests to ensure they are happy with the level of the accommodation, including the cleaning.
WHAT'S IN IT FOR ME?
Now for the benefits of letting your property: you’ve got a holiday home, and you want to make a profit, but there are all the extras to pay out of the booking including the commission. Taking into consideration commission rates locally, we decided to calculate if we could provide our high level of service along with a low commission rate and we can! By keeping our business online, and reducing paperwork, we have found we can offer this to anyone who wants to let their property with our help.
So, what are the rates that Wild Oyster Holiday Homes can offer you? We are offering a 2 year contract with 13% commission rate in the first year, and 18% commission rate in the second year. After the 2 years is up and you want to leave us, we simply request 3 months notice, subject to terms and conditions. Of course, we hope you will stay with us, but we can provide you with flexibility because we know that these are changing times.
During your 2 year contract, you can have access to your property if you need a little break yourselves. Again, this will be subject to terms and conditions, and they can be discussed at the time and circumstance.
All commission is subject to VAT where applicable. We want your investment to be profitable; we will work with you and extensive online reputable marketing companies to maximise your letting potential.

We also manage other aspects of the holiday. How about a birthday cake and tickets to the theatre? We can pre-book trips, restaurants, or anything that the guests require.
