EVENTS IN WEYMOUTH AND PORTLAND: WHAT AND WHERE?
Weymouth and Portland are exciting locations, with lots to do and a lot going on. Full of uplifting experiences and different varied events, there’s always something new to go and check out. Upcoming events you don’t want to miss
There are a lot of different events that are coming up for this time of year, all local to Weymouth and Portland where you can venture out to experience different things that are going on in the area. There is plenty going on for halloween, shows that are on at the Pavilion, and there’s even a fairground which is great for a family weekend away!
Halloween
There are a lot of Halloween events that are taking place in Weymouth and Portland. If you’re heading to the area at the end of October, then there’s no excuse not to get into the halloween spirit! There’s a spooky show that you can go and watch, called ‘Halloween Spooktacular’ that’s being showcased at Weymouth Pavilion. If you want something more active, then you can attend ‘spark in the dark’ which is a lantern walk where you can go through a ghost train. It’s a great Halloween event! And, if that’s not enough, you can also go to a Halloween special which is a haunted tour in Weymouth Harbour. Weymouth Pavilion
A lot of different events take place in Weymouth Pavilion and you can visit their website to find what is happening in line with your dates visiting the area. The events are always changing and there are always new things happening – they currently have the Ocean Film Festival World Tour from the beginning of October. Later on in the month there is Guns N Roses Experience, Macbeth, The Elvis Years, and even more. If they take your fancy, then have a look on the website to buy tickets!
Fairground
Fairgrounds are always fun, but this one is seasonal and has returned in October, open with rides, attractions and entertainment. It’s worth a visit and is fun for all the family, or to go with friends. You can find Edward Danter’s Half Term Fairground in Pavilion Forecourt Car Park, The Esplanade, Weymouth, UK. It’s on from 23rd to 31st October – you don’t want to miss it!
Events in Dorset
Weymouth and Portland are in Dorset, and they are potentially some of the most picturesque in the area. If you’re struggling to find an event in the area, you can stretch to more surrounding locations where there will be more that you may be interested in.
